Today we are going to show you how to make a Grilled Steak Salad. Steak and salads are great on their own, but combined they are even better. This is a simple recipe that you and your guests will love.
Once you’ve tried this one, experiment next time by changing up the salad a bit to fit your tastes. some suggestions are adding corn and black beans.

Grilled Steak Salad
1 lb. Beef Flank Steak
1 Jar Roasted Sweet Red Peppers (7.oz)
1/3 cup Balsamic Vinegar
1 Large Sweet Onion, Sliced
2 T. Fresh Basil, Minced
1 Can Kidney Beans drained (16 .oz)
2 T. Olive Oil
1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1 Pkg. Romain Leaves (9 .oz)
Combine the black pepper, garlic powder, salt and rub it into the steak.
Set your grill up for medium heat. Oil the grate. Grill the steak directly over the heat for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the meat reaches the desired doneness for you.
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes.
Place the sliced onion on some heavy duty aluminum foil. Fold the foil around the onion and seal tightly. Grill over medium heat for 16-20 minutes or until the onions are tender. Meanwhile, using a large mixing bowl, combine the Romaine, kidney beans, red peppers, and grilled onion.
Using a smaller bowl whisk the vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and basil. Pour 1/4 cup over the salad, and toss to coat. Split the salad onto four plates.Slice the flank steak across the grain into strips and arrange over the salad. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad.
