Today we are going to show you how to make Herb and Garlic Grilled Porterhouse.
Porterhouse is one of my favorite cuts of steak. You really do not have to add a lot to make a really great steak. This recipe uses some fresh herbs to really bring out a great flavor in the steak.
Enjoy!
Herb and Garlic Grilled Porterhouse
1 Porterhouse steak
Salt and pepper to taste
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
Olive oil
Brush both sides of the steak with a bit of olive oil, then sprinkle on the salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, and rosemary on both sides. It helps to rub it in a bit.
Let the steak set a room temperature while you set up the grill.
Set up your gas or charcoal grill for medium-high heat.
Place the steak on the grill. Grill for approximately 8 to 10 minutes per side. Cooking time will vary depending upon the size of the steak. I like my porterhouse steaks medium-rare, which is an internal temperature of approximately 130-135F. So adjust your grilling time up or down depending upon how you like your steaks. I use this instant read thermometer to take readings on my grilled foods.
Once the porterhouse has reached your desired level of doneness, remove from the grill and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
I know you love steak as much as I do. Did you know that you can get 100% grass-fed beef delivered directly to your door? Yup, you sure can. You’ve got to check out ButcherBox.
