Today’s recipe will show you how to make Sweet Garlic Pork Chops.
Garlic and grilled pork chops go hand in hand, and with the sweet marinade to cut the rich, fatiness of the pork you will fall in love. This particular marinade has a bit of an Asian twist as well.

Sweet Garlic Pork Chops
4 one inch thick pork chops
1 head of garlic with cloves peeled
3 tablespoons of sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce or fish sauce
3 tablespoons of honey
3 tablespoons of rice wine
2 tablespoons of dark sesame oil
1 tablespoon of peeled and grated ginger
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of cracked black pepper
Using a food processor make a paste with the garlic and sugar. Add in the fish sauce/soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, honey, grated
ginger, salt and pepper. Once you have it process to a paste, spread it over both sides of the pork chops. Place in a glass baking dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator covered for one to two hours.
Set up your grill for direct cooking and preheat to high.
When you are ready to grill, oil the grate and place the pork chops on the grill. Grill for approximately 4 to 6 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned. They should be done when the internal temperature is about 145F. You can check for doneness with an instant read thermometer like the one I have.
Transfer the pork chops to a platter and serve them immediately.
