The cooking time for a smoked ham depends upon a few things. First it comes down to whether you purchased a “cook before eating†ham, or a ham which is already fully cooked. The packaging on the ham will indicate this. The other factors are whether it is whole, half, spiral cut, bone-in, or boneless.
If you plan on cooking your smoked ham in the oven the typical cooking temperature is 325F. The internal temperature when it is done should be 160F for a “cook before eating†ham, and 140F for reheating a fully cooked ham. Some people like myself like grilling ham, so temperatures can be adjusted. Still others like to cook their smoked ham in a crock pot, which will lengthen the cooking time.
