Strip steaks are one of my favorite cuts of meat to grill. It is such a tender steak that turns out great when done on the grill. The nice thing about grilling a steak is that they don’t take long, and the turn out really flavorful. I prefer to grill my strip steaks
medium-rare.
So, how do you grill a strip steak to medium-rare? Generally I grill a strip steak that is around 8 to 10 oz. A steak this size grilled over high heat will take approximately 4 to 6 minutes per side, for a total grilling time of about 8 to 12 minutes.
This grilling time will vary if you use a larger or smaller cut of meat, or if you grill at a lower temperature. If you would like more tips on grilling strip steaks be sure to visit our article on How to Grill Strip Steaks.
