Meathead: The Science of Great Barbecue and Grilling – This is a really good book, busting all kinds of grilling and BBQ myths. It’s full of some really tasty recipes too. Not only is there good recipes, but you will also learn the how and why they work. It is a good read for both novices and seasoned grill masters .
SMOKIN’ with Myron Mixon – Myron is a true champion when it comes to barbecue. You’ll get a bunch of his award winning recipes, which are for the most part simple, and definitely tasty. If you are into smoking foods, this one is worth a read.
Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto – This one isn’t so much a recipe book as it is a book about the science and philosophy behind Aaron Franklin’s methods. You will learn a lot in this one; lots of nuggets of wisdom throughout.
Weber’s Charcoal Grilling – This was my first Weber grilling book. I recommend it if you use a Weber charcoal grill. There are a lot of really tasty recipes, over 100 of them with color photos. Besides the recipes it has tips and methods for using your Weber charcoal grill.
The Barbecue Bible – This is just one of the Steven Raichlen books I have, and it is a big one. It is packed full with over 500 recipes. It also has tips and tricks, plus answers to frequently asked questions. It is a book worth getting. I have an older issue, but the newer issues now have full color. I might have to get a newer edition just for the color photos.
Best Ribs Ever – This is another one of my Steven Raichlen books. If you are a rib fan like I am, this is a book to grab. There are tons of delicious rib recipes whether you like pork ribs, beef ribs, or both. Plus recipes for sides and sauces. It’s well worth checking out.
BBQ USA – With other Steven Raichlen’s books like Barbecue Bible, he covers recipes from all over the world, however with this one it is just recipes from America. There are recipes from every state as well as from Canada, and Puerto Rico. Lots of tasty recipes in here.
Barbecue! Bible Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades, Bastes, Butters, & Glazes – I love trying out different rubs and marinades on my grilled foods. This book has a ton of different ones for you to try out. There is a lot of good stuff in this one.
