Today we are going to show you how to make a Grilled Sweet and Sour Chicken Kabobs.
Yup, sweet and sour chicken on the grill, and in kabob form. I love kabobs because they are really good and so versatile. You can make so many different flavor combinations with kabobs.
These in particular have sweet and sour marinade and basting sauce.
Enjoy!
Grilled Sweet and Sour Chicken Kabobs
2 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
10 whole mushrooms
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 scallions, minced
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can sliced pineapple
1 green pepper, cut up into big chunks
4 skewers
In a mixing bowl combine the soy sauce, cider vinegar, honey, vegetable oil, and scallions. Cut up the chicken breasts into chunks and add to this marinade. Cover and marinade in the refrigerator overnight.
Cut the mushrooms in half and cut the pineapple slices into 3 sections. Using 4 large skewers thread on the chicken, pineapple, mushroom, and pepper until the skewers are full.
Set up your gas or charcoal grill for medium-high heat.
Place the kabobs on the grill. Cook for approximately 15 minutes basting with the marinade and turning occasionally.
Remove from the grill and serve immediately.
