Today we are going to show you how to make Grilled Shrimp Kabobs.
These kabobs are really simple to make. The Italian dressing marinade adds a lot of flavor to the delicate shrimp.
Kabobs are a great choice for a cookout because they are quick and easy to make, but make a great grilled meal. I really like jumbo shrimp, so this is a go to kabob recipe for me.
Enjoy!
Grilled Shrimp Kabobs
1 lb. Jumbo Shrimp (uncooked)
1 cup Italian Dressing
1 Medium Red Onion, Cut into 8 pieces
1 Medium Bell Pepper, Cut into 8 pieces
16 Cherry Tomatoes
16 Whole Mushrooms
4 Skewers (stainless steel or bamboo)
Place the jumbo shrimp and Italian dressing into a resealable plastic bag. Allow the shrimp to marinade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Setup you gas or charcoal grill for direct cooking at medium heat.
Remove the shrimp from the bag, save the marinade. Alternate the shrimp, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, and mushrooms on the four skewers leaving about a 1/4 inch of space between the pieces. Here are the bamboo skewers that I use.
Place the shrimp kabobs on the grill over the heat. Cover the grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes, turning often. Use the marinade you saved to brush on the kabobs while they are cooking. Cook the shrimp until it reaches an internal temp of 145 degrees. Discard any remaining marinade.
