Today we are going to show you how to make Grilled Shrimp Italiano.
Shrimp is one of my favorite foods to cook on the grill. It is fast and easy, and there are so many different combinations you can do with shrimp.
This particular recipe uses Italian dressing to give the shrimp a really great flavor.
Enjoy!
Grilled Shrimp Italiano
1 lb medium shrimp, cleaned and deveined
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 envelope Italian Salad Dressing Mix
2 red peppers, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
In a small mixing bowl combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and Italian dressing mix.
Place the shrimp into a large resealable storage bag. Pour the Italian dressing mixture over the shrimp, seal and place in the refrigerator.
You will want to marinate the shrimp for atleast 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
Set up your gas or charcoal grill for medium-high heat.
While the grill is warming up place the shrimp on skewers alternating with the red peppers. Discard the remaining marinade.
Place the shrimp on the grill. Cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side, the should be opaque when finished.
Remove the shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with the basil. Serve immediately.
