Today we are going to show you how to make a Grilled Portobello Mushrooms.
You are going to love these if you like mushrooms. Portobello mushrooms are so “meaty” and delicious. Tossed with the marinade, they are pretty much perfection.
If you’ve never cooked Portobello mushrooms on the grill before, it is really quick and easy. I love making them all the time now.
With the really big Portobello mushroom caps you can even make them into burgers because they are so big and meaty.
Enjoy!
Grilled Portobello Mushrooms
3 Portobello mushrooms
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tbsp chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Clean the Portobello mushrooms and remove the stems, keeping just the caps. Place the caps on a plate with the bottom up.
In a small bowl, combine the canola oil, chopped onion, minced garlic and balsamic vinegar. Pour the mixture evenly over the mushroom caps and let stand for at least 1 hour.
Setup you gas or charcoal grill for high heat. Place the mushrooms directly over the heat and grill for approximately 10 minutes.
Serve immediately.
