Pineapple Grilled Pork Chops Recipe
What you will need:
4 pork chops
1 8oz. can of pineapple rings, drained, juice retained
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Black Pepper to taste
In a small mixing bowl combine the retained pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well until all the sugar is dissolved, then pour into a large resealable plastic storage bag. Place the pork chops in the bag and seal making sure you squeeze all the air out. Turn the bag back and forth to make sure the chops are well coated. Put in the refrigerator overnight.
Set up your gas or charcoal grill for direct grilling over medium heat. Once the grill has heated oil the grates a bit to help keep the pork chops from sticking. Place the chops on the grill and cover.
Depending upon how thick of pork chops you have, you are going to want to grill them for approximately 5 to 8 minutes per side. You will want to baste the chops with a basting brush like this all throughout grilling. Your chops will be done when they register 145F on an instant read thermometer. Here is the one I use.
During the last few minutes of grilling place the pineapple rings on the grill. Cook them until they get the nice grill marks on them. Place these slices on top of the pork chops and serve.
This is such a simple, yet flavorful grilled pork chop recipe, you and your family are going to love these.
