Today we are going to show you how to make a Grilled Halibut.
Halibut is a great fish grilled and I think you are going to love the flavors that the basil and cilantro marinade add.

Grilled Halibut
2 lb halibut steak (1/2 to 3/4 lbs each)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1 tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 tsp coarse kosher salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Combine all ingredients besides the halibut in a baking dish. Add the halibut and coat well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Turning the halibut once.
Setup your charcoal or gas grill for direct cooking with high heat. Brush the grill grates with canola oil and immediately place the halibut on the grill. Grill each side for about 7 to 8 minutes, until dark grill marks appear. The internal temperature should be around 130 – 135F when taken with a instant read thermometer like this one.
Once done, remove the fish and let cool slightly before serving.
