Today we are going to show you how to make Grilled Garlic Filet Mignon.
If you’ve ever had filet mignon you know how good they can be, and this grilled version is no exception. The garlic inserted into the roast just adds so much flavor.
This is a pretty basic recipe, but it has a lot of flavor. You and your family are going to love it.
Enjoy!
Grilled Garlic Filet Mignon
4 lbs beef tenderloin roast
8 whole garlic cloves, peeled
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 pinch kosher salt, to taste
1 pinch black pepper, to taste
Kitchen string
drip pan
Using a small knife, cut eight small slits in the tenderloin and slide one clove of garlic into each slit.
Rub the tenderloin with the olive oil then season it with the seasoned salt, kosher salt, and black pepper. Using the kitchen string, tie the roast at 2 inch intervals.
Setup your grill for medium-high heat. If you are using a charcoal grill arrange the coals around the drip pan. Place tenderloin roast on a grill rack over the drip pan. Cover and grill for approximately 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until a instant read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the roast reads 135F.
Remove tenderloin from the grill and cover with foil. Let the roast rest for 15 minutes. Remove string; slice and serve.
Servings: 10 to 12
If you need an instant read thermometer here is the one I use. I really like it, and it is a lot cheaper than comparable models.
