Today we are going to show you how to make Chipotle Turkey Burgers.
When I used to think turkey burgers I always thought of a really lean, bland burger, and many of them are that way. But not this one. This recipe has a ton of flavor. With the added seasonings, chipotle pepper, and mozzarella, this turkey burger has an awesome spicy flavor.
You’re sure to really like this one, it’s not your typical, boring turkey burger.
Enjoy!
Chipotle Turkey Burgers
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, finely
chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 slices mozzarella cheese
4 hamburger buns, toasted
In a large mixing bowl combine the ground turkey, onion, cilantro, chipotle chile pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned slat, and black pepper. Once mixed well, form into 4 equal sized patties.
Setup your gas or charcoal grill for medium-high heat.
Oil the grill grates lightly, and place the patties over the heat. Grill until the turkey patties are no longer pink in the center. This will be approximately 5 minutes per side. Place the slices of mozzarella cheese on the patties during the last 2 minutes of grilling time.
Remove the turkey patties from the grill and set aside to rest while you lightly toast the buns on the grill.
Serve on the toasted buns with your favorite condiment.
Servings: 4
If you want to make perfectly formed burger patties every time, you should try out a burger press. The one I use is adjustable for different thicknesses of patties, plus it has an ejector so the patties pop out really easy. Check it out, it is pretty cool.
