Cajun Rub is a really great rub to use on any meat or poultry to give it a bit of that Cajun flavor. I like to use it on my Cajun Smoked Turkey.
This specific recipe will make ¾ cup of rub. This rub can also be used to make a Cajun injector sauce, which is great.
Cajun Rub
¼ cup Kosher salt
¼ cup paprika
1 tbsp garlic flakes
1 tbsp onion flakes
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tsp white pepper
1 to 2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground bay leaf
Thoroughly mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Store in an airtight container.
Makes: ¾ cup
