Today we are going to show you how to make Bayou Chicken.
I love Cajun foods, they have that spicy zip that leaves you wanting more.
This is a really simple grilled chicken recipe that uses a bit of Cajun seasoning and hot sauce to spice things up.
You can use any fresh chicken you want for this recipe, be it a whole chicken, chicken breasts, or chicken thighs. Use whatever is your favorite.
Enjoy!
Bayou Chicken
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup hot sauce
3 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 lbs chicken
1 gallon zippered storage bag
Using the gallon storage bag, combine the lemon juice, hot sauce, and Cajun seasoning. Mix well. Add in the chicken and coat it with the marinade.
Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Set up your gas or charcoal grill for medium-high heat.
Take the chicken out of the marinade and place on the grill over the heat source. Discard the remaining marinade. The cooking time will depend upon the type of chicken pieces you are using. Grill for approximately 30 – 45 minutes, flipping once half way through grilling.
Serve immediately.
